A Delicious Treat: Roasted Pears

A delicious treat for all doshas, morning or night. Spices used stimulate metabolism and blood flow across body.

This is one of our favorite recipes for Roasted Pears made with the natural sugars that balance depletion, instead of process sugars which can have a poor impact on a mother's breastmilk supply and lead to further diminishment of much needed nutrients by each of us, especially in the First 42 Days.


2 organic pears (Bosc or Anjou)

1 tbsp ghee 1⁄2 tsp cardamom 1⁄2 tsp cinnamon

1⁄4 tsp ground clove

1-2 tbsp maple syrup

Baking Instructions

Slice 1⁄2 inch round off back of each pear. Next, coat in ghee. Sprinkle cardamom, cinnamon, ground clove. Cook at 350 for 25 minutes. Top with maple syrup and enjoy!
